PHASE has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. This page explains exactly what data exists, where it lives, and who can see it.

Short version: your aircraft, checklists, airfields and notes stay on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage. I can't see any of it.

Who is responsible

PHASE is made by Jogendra, an independent developer based in the Netherlands. For anything in this policy, email hey@jogendra.dev.

Data in the app

What you create (aircraft, checklists, flows, reference cards, airfields, flight plans and scratch-pad drawings) is stored on your device.
iCloud sync uses Apple's CloudKit and your own private iCloud database. Apple stores it under your Apple Account; I have no access to it. Turning iCloud off for PHASE keeps everything on the device only.
No account, no sign-in. PHASE never asks for your name, email or location.
No analytics or third-party SDKs. PHASE doesn't collect usage statistics, crash analytics or advertising identifiers. If you share crash reports with developers in iOS settings, Apple may pass anonymous crash logs to me through Xcode.

Airfield import

When you tap Fill in from openAIP in the airfield editor, PHASE sends the airfield code you typed (for example EHLE) to openAIP (openaip.net) to look up runways and frequencies. As with any web request, openAIP receives your device's IP address. No other information is sent, and nothing is sent unless you tap that button. openAIP's own privacy policy applies to that request.

Purchases

PHASE Pro and tips are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. I never receive your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether a purchase is active, so it can unlock Pro.

Emails you send

If you email me for support or to ask for a free Pro code, I use your email address and message only to reply. I delete support emails once they're resolved, or sooner on request.

This website

Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, your email address is collected through Formspree (formspree.io), a form service that stores it for me. It's used only to tell you when PHASE launches, based on your consent. Reply to that email or write to me to be removed, and it's deleted.
No cookies or tracking. The site stores your chosen colour theme and whether you've joined the waitlist in your browser's local storage. That never leaves your device.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
Hosting. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security.

Children

PHASE is made for pilots and isn't directed at children under 16.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent at any time. In practice, the only personal data I can ever hold is a waitlist or support email. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Meaningful changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
